Theme:

Economic trends and related tax law, including law enforcement situation in Asian countries, are necessary topics for Japanese corporations to engage in business abroad. In Asian countries, there is a trend of revenue enhancement in foreign holding companies because of following reasons; decreasing customs revenue after the foundation of ASEAN free trade zone, securing tax revenue to support economic growth and social capital improvement, tax collection practices, which do not correspond to actual activation of investment and diverse business activities. Therefore, tax lax risks response is one of the main issues for Japanese companies. In this time, speakers will talk about the overview of Asian basic tax systems and what kind of taxation problems Japanese corporations face.
