香港政府は8月14日、2015年第2四半期（4〜6月）の域内総生産成長率が前年同期比2.8%だったと発表しました。前期（1〜3月）の2.4%（5月に発表した2.1%から修正）から拡大しています。香港の第2四半期の輸出は前年同期比3.6%減でしたが、個人消費は前年同期比6%増となり、内需が外需の不振を補った結果です。
